******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 439 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.66 dated 08.07.2017 registered for the offence punishable under Section 21 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, at Police Station Ghoman, District Gurdaspur.

Heard.

As per case of prosecution, the petitioner was arrested by the police of Police Station Ghoman and recovery of 117.42 gms. of "Alprazolam" was effected from him.

The petitioner is facing trial of recovery of commercial quantity of contraband, as such, Section 37 of NDPS Act bars the grant of bail to petitioner except on the terms as mentioned therein. Keeping in view quantum of recovery effected from the petitioner, I find no reason to extend the benefit of regular bail to petitioner at this stage.
