The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to renew registration of his vehicle bearing Registration No.PB-03-L-0002. He is further seeking direction to respondents to decide his representation dated 24.02.2026.

The petitioner is owner of one vehicle, mark Hyundai, manufactured in 2009 bearing Registration No.PB-03-L-0002. The aforesaid registration number expired in November' 2024. He preferred representation dated 24.02.2026 before respondent Nos.2 & 3 seeking renewal of the registration number. Despite the vehicle being in working condition and availability of documents, the respondents have not addressed his claim till date.

Learned State counsel submits that petitioner may be directed to visit Regional Transport Office, Bathinda which would look into the matter. He must bring all the documents as per instructions dated 10.06.2025. The competent authority would upload document on the Vahan Portal subject to submission of documents and payment of requisite fee.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of. The petitioner shall appear before Regional Transport Office, Bathinda on 12.05.2026 along with requisite documents incorporated in aforesaid instructions.
