Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.5 has some business/monetary dispute with husband of petitioner. Police is frequently visiting house of petitioner and harassing her in order to put pressure on the petitioner and her family members so that they may accede to the illegal demand of respondent No.5. He confines his submission only for direction to respondent No.2 to look into representation Annexure P-1 of petitioner and take appropriate action thereon. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to look into the representation Annexure P-1 to the extent it concerns the harassment of the petitioner and her family by the police and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioner from legal action taken in any civil, criminal or other proceedings initiated/pending against her in accordance with law.
