Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No. 285 dated 31.7.2014, under Section 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC' for short), registered at Police Station City Mandi Dabwali, District Sirsa (Annexure P-1) and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 17.12.2014 (Annexure P-2) effected between the parties.

Vide order dated 10.3.2015, Area Magistrate/Trial Court was directed to record the statements of the parties and send its report with regard to genuineness of the compromise effected between the parties.

In pursuance to the said order, the Magistrate has reported that complainant has made a statement that the petitioners had failed to honour the terms of compromise. GURPREET SINGH 2015.12.04 10:22 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh

Crl. Misc. No. M-5109 of 2015 -2 - Petitioners had issued four cheques in terms of the compromise in her favour. Out of the said cheques, two had been encashed whereas two had bounced.

None has appeared on behalf of the petitioners. On the last date also, none had appeared on behalf of the petitioners. It appears that petitioners are not interested in proceeding with this case as they had failed to honour the terms of compromise.

Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
