******* KARAMJIT SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioners allege that both of them are major and they got married on 03.05.2024 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6 who are related to petitioner No.1. This is their first marriage. 2.
Counsel for the petitioners submits that aforesaid private respondents No.4 to 6 have threatened to cause harm to both the petitioners and in this regard, representation dated 03.05.2024 (Annexure P-5) was given to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana but till date no action has been taken by the concerned authority in this regard. 3.
Notice of motion.

Mr. Jasjeet Singh Dhaliwal, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of State. He submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision on the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law.

In view of above, without going into the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to consider representation dated 03.05.2024 (Annexure Priyanka Thakur 2024.05.08 12:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document P-5) and to take action if so warranted in accordance with law.

However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners. In case the petitioners have committed any offence, law will take its own course.
