The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to process online application of the petitioner and re-issue passport with the changed date of birth. 2.

The petitioner was issued passport on 28.12.2012 which was valid upto 27.12.2022. In the passport, date of birth of the petitioner is mentioned as 10.03.1983 whereas as per petitioner it is 10.03.1986. In the Matriculation certificate and other documents, date of birth is mentioned as 10.03.1986. The petitioner online applied for correction of date of birth in the passport. The application of the petitioner is still pending.

Ms. Shweta Nahata, counsel for Union of India submits that petitioner may be directed to appear before Regional Passport Officer, Chandigarh on 21.09.2023 PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.08.17 18:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP No.10069 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:106324 alongwith all relevant documents and officer concerned would pass an appropriate order within 2 weeks thereafter. 4.

In view of statement of learned counsel for the respondents, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to petitioner to appear before Regional Passport Officer, Chandigarh on 21.09.2023 at 11:00 A.M alongwith all relevant documents. On doing so, the respondent No. 2 shall pass an appropriate order within 2 weeks from 21.09.2023.
