MAHESH GROVER, J. (Oral) In this writ petition the petitioners have challenged the action of the Gram Panchayat in issuing notices for auctioning the land of which the petitioners claimed to be in possession. It is not in dispute that proceedings under Section 11(2) of the Punjab Village Common Land and Regulation Act, 1961 initiated by the petitioners have been dismissed negating their claim to the suit property. The Gram Panchayat has been able to show its ownership on the basis of revenue record. No material contrary to it has been produced before us and, therefore, the petitioners cannot question the action of the Gram Panchayat in issuing notices to put the land to a beneficial use through an option auction.

No ground to interfere.

Dismissed with a direction to the petitioners to hand over the possession to the Gram Panchayat positively within a period of three months from today. Since the crops would be standing, we direct

CWP No.8154 of 2005 -2the Deputy Commissioner concerned to appoint an administrator to manage the crops after they are sold and give the proceeds to the writ petitioners who might have sown these crops.
