On 22.4.2026, the following order was passed: 'Learned State counsel has filed reply by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambala, District Ambala. The same be kept on record. A copy of the same has been furnished to learned counsel for the petitioners.
Apprehending their arrest in FIR No 0019 dated 21.01.2026 (Annexure P1) under Sections 191 (3), 190, 140 (3), 115, 351 (3) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Sections 148, 149, 365, 323, 506 of IPC), registered at Police Station Ambala City, District Ambala; the petitioners have preferred this petition under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking pre-arrest bail.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, after arguing for sometime, seeks to withdraw the petition in hand qua petitioner No.1-Rakesh Kumar.
Ordered accordingly.
Pleading the case of petitioner No.2-Harjeet Singh @ Johny, learned counsel has submitted that the role attributed to the petitioner is similar to that assigned to co-accused namely Anish Goel and Lovish Arora, who
CRM-M No.20199 of 2026 -2have been afforded the concession of anticipatory bail vide order of even date passed in CRM-M-14749-2026 and CRM-M-9492-2026, respectively & the petitioner is willing to join investigation and cooperate therein as per law. Adjourned to 21.05.2026.
The petitioner No.2-Harjeet Singh @ Johny is directed to appear before the Investigating Officer on 28.04.2026 at 11:00 A.M. in concerned Police Station and join investigation. In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal/surety bond(s) to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. As and when further called by Investigating Officer, the petitioner shall join the investigation. He shall abide by the condition(s) enumerated under Section 482(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.' 2.
Learned State counsel (on instructions) submits that pursuant to the order dated 22.4.2026, petitioner no.2-Harjeet Singh @ Johny has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation. 3.
In view of the above, the instant petition is allowed. Interim order dated 22.4.2026, passed by this Court is made absolute qua petitioner no.2-Harjeet Singh @ Johny, subject to the conditions as enumerated under Section 482(2) of BNSS.

This order should not be treated as "blanket" order. It will not be read granting petitioner indefinite protection from arrest. It shall be confined to the FIR mentioned ibid and will not operate in respect of any other incident that involves commission of an offence. 5.
Liberty is reserved in favour of State/complainant to move for cancellation/recall of this order in case the petitioner violates any condition stipulated under Section 482(2) of BNSS or upon showing any other sufficient cause.

Needless to say that anything observed herein above shall not

By way of abundant caution, it is clarified that by way of present order, anticipatory bail has been afforded to petitioner No.2Harjeet Singh @ Johny only since learned counsel for the petitioners has withdrawn the petition qua petitioner no.1-Rakesh Kumar on 22.4.2026.
