ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioner herein, inter alia, seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.4 to verify his gradation certificate No.000369 dated 06.01.2021 (Annexure P-6) issued by District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer, Fatehabad and then submit verification report in terms of letters dated 09.05.2022 (Annexure P-10) and 19.05.2022. Further prayer has been made to issue him appointment letter for the post of Peon.

Respondent-Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Panchkula advertised various posts of Group D in different departments of State of Haryana. Having sports gradation certificate, he applied for the same and successfully participated in the selection process under SC category. His name was allocated to the office of Animal Husbandry and Dairying for the post of Peon. Pursuant to instructions dated 16.08.2019, he was directed to submit fresh sports gradation certificate under the new sports policy dated 25.05.2018 as the sports gradation certificate shall be issued SHALINI BHATIA 2022.06.02 17:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document.
CWP No. 12412 of 2022 in terms of the amended sports policy dated 15.11.2018. He applied to the office of District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer, Fatehabad which after due verification issued the sports gradation certificate on 06.01.2021. Thereafter respondent No.2 directed respondent No.4 to verify the said certificate and submit verification report to enable the department to issue appointment letter to the petitioner but the same has not been done by respondent No.4 till date. As a result thereof, appointment letter has not been issued in favour of the petitioner till date. Hence, the petition. 3.
On advance service, learned State counsel appears and submits that a decision will be taken by competent authority, either way, on the pending letter dated 09.05.2022 (Annexure P-10). 4.
Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to look into the letter dated 09.05.2022 (Annexure P-10) and pass an administrative order, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. In case the Sports Gradation Certificate, after verification is found to be genuine, benefit qua the same be accorded to the petitioner in accordance with law. 6.
Let the needful be done within period of 30 days from today. 7.
Disposed of.
