RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. praying for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.26, dated 12.05.2022, under Sections 498-A, 323, 506, 406 IPC, registered at Police Station Behrampur, District Gurdaspur. Vide order dated 30.08.2022, while granting interim protection, the petitioner was directed to join investigation. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that pursuant to the order dated 30.08.2022, the petitioner has joined the investigation and as such his interim bail may be made absolute. He further submits that the parties had appeared before the Mediation Centre, however, the same remained unsuccessful.

Report of the Mediator is also placed on record. However, counsel for respondent No.2/complainant has MEENU 2022.12.13 17:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CRM-M-24729-2022 -2opposed the submissions made by counsel for the petitioner. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jagir Chand, endorsed that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is no more required for further interrogation.

In view of the above, interim order dated 30.08.2022 is made absolute subject to compliance of conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Petition stands allowed.
