Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in cross case bearing DDR No.35 dated 10.09.2015 under Sections 307, 148, 149 IPC in case FIR No.92 dated 08.09.2015 under Sections 307, 326, 324, 323, 506, 148, 149 and 379 IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station City Hoshiarpur. Notice of motion.

Mr.Dhruv Dayal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent-State and contested the petition. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that a cross-version has been registered against the present petitioner. As per prosecution version, petitioner was VINEET GULATI 2019.05.09 16:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh armed with revolver and he fired from it. One bullet hit on the left shoulder

CRM No.M-46310 of 2018 -2of Vikas Bhatti and other hit, on the back of Dilbagh Singh. The petitioner is the main accused in the cross-version.

Learned State counsel has brought it to the notice of this Court that there are nine (9) other FIRs against the petitioner, out of which, four are under Section 307 IPC.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence and in view of the fact that there is every chance of tampering with the evidence if the petitioner is released on bail, as the case is at preliminary stage, I do not find any ground to grant benefit of regular bail to the petitioner.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
