The present petition has been filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 112 dated 17.04.2021 under Sections 363, 366-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Section 376 IPC was added later on) registered at Police Station Patran, District Patiala.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Narinder Singh has stated that the petitioner in the present case has since been acquitted by the Trial Court vide judgment dated 18.10.2023 and hence the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
