JASGURPREET SINGH PURI , J. (ORAL ) Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was being harassed by the police and the police was raiding the house of the petitioner without any authority of law and therefore, he has sought protection of life and liberty.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, states that in fact the petitioner is an accused in FIR No.121 of 4.7.2021 in which 507 boxes of illicit liquor were seized and the petitioner is absconding and instead of surrendering before the police and cooperating with the investigation RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2021.07.16 12:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed for the withdrawal of the present petition. He has, however, submitted that the petitioner may be permitted to raise his grievances before the Commissioner of Police to the effect that the petitioner was being harassed. Needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to raise any grievance before the Commissioner of Police in accordance with law.

In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner praying for the withdrawal of the present petition, the same is hereby dismissed as withdrawn.
