M.M.S. BEDI, J. (ORAL) Petitioners, on the basis of compromise, seek quashing of FIR No.538 dated 29.10.2014, under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B and 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Sarai Khawaja, District Faridabad. The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent No.2 Jyoti Shrivastav alleging that the petitioners in connivance with each other have cheated her of a sum of Rs.1,20,000/- on the pretext of selling a plot measuring 75 square yards to the complainant.

The parties were directed to appear before the concerned Magistrate to get their statements recorded. After

CRM-M-5270-2015 (O&M) regarding the statements of the parties, a report has been submitted to the effect that the matter has been compromised voluntarily. Following the judgment in case Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.), Page-1052, I do not find any ground not to permit the parties to compound the offence. The petition is allowed. The above said FIR and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
