RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Case has been taken up for hearing through video-conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Through this writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India prayer has been made for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to count previous service of the petitioner rendered under the H.S.M.I.T.C. w.e.f. 01.08.1979 to 16.10.2001 as a qualifying service for all intents and purposes i.e. gratuity, pension, leave encashment, G.I.S. & G.P.F. etc. with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the purpose would be achieved if respondent No.3 - Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (ST), Hisar, is directed to look into legal notice (Annexure P5) of the petitioner in a time-bound manner.
