ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioner herein, inter alia, seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents for early decision of petition dated 30.07.2000 titled "Harbinder Kaur Bajwa v. Mandeep Ghuman" (Annexure P-3) filed by petitioner-Senior Citizen for eviction and protection of her property under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 read with Chandigarh Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, pending before the Maintenance Tribunal.

Ordinarily this Court would not have interfered merely because of the delay in decision on the pending proceedings before the Tribunal below as due to Covid-19 not only administrative offices but even the quasi judicial offices/courts were working under certain restrictions.

Be that as it may, being a matter of senior citizen, the writ petition is disposed of with an expectation that the Tribunal below will decide the petition pending before it, as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournments.
