Prayer in the instant petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioners, at the hands of respondents No.5 and 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the petitioners are having threat at the hands of private respondents No.5 and 6. They are parents of respondent no.5 and parents-in-law of respondent no.6, who are currently residing abroad. Father of petitioner no.1 had already transferred share of respondent no.5 in his favour, but respondents no.5 and 6 are harassing the petitioners to transfer the land, which is in the name of petitioners. Respondents no.7 and 8 are parents-in-law of respondent no.5 and parents of respondent no.6 and through them, respondents no.5 and 6 are giving false complaints to local police authorities. CRWP-3949-2025 (O&M) It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners have already moved a representation dated 04.04.2025 (Annexure P-1) to respondent No.3. He has further submitted that he would be satisfied if the aforesaid representation is decided by respondent no.3. Notice of motion.

Mr. Inderjeet Singh Ladher, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice and submitted that he has no objection if the aforesaid representation dated 04.04.2025 (Annexure P-1) is decided.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Muktsar, District Muktsar to look into the representation dated 04.04.2025 (Annexure P-1) and to take appropriate action, if any required, at the earliest. Disposed of.
