Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus and for appointment of a Warrant Officer, with a roving writ to search for the detenue, namely, Amandeep Kaur daughter of Veer Singh, and get the detenue released from the illegal custody of the private respondents forthwith. 2.

Vide order dated 09.04.2026, the Court had directed the State to produce the detenue. Today, detenue-Amandeep Kaur, is present in the Court. The Court has interacted with her. She has submitted that she is 191⁄2 years of age and the allegations made in the petition by the petitioner regarding her relationship with him, are totally false and frivolous. She has further submitted that she is happily living with her parents.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Parvinder Singh and HC Manpreet Kaur, has submitted that the petitioner is a MAMTA 2026.04.10 17:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-4108-2026 -2highly mischievous person against whom, 05 FIRs have already been registered. He has submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender. 4.
