**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition is for release of petitioner on regular bail in FIR No.119 dated 17.06.2016, under Section 304-B read with Section 34 IPC, registered at Police Station City Kharar, District SAS Nagar (Mohali). Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is father-in-law of Babita Rani (since deceased) and the allegations against him are the same as have been raised against other co-accused, namely, Monika Malhotra (sister-in-law) and Urmila Malhotra (mother-in-law). Moreover, the petitioner is in custody since 18.06.2016 and no useful purpose would be served by further detaining him in jail. Learned State counsel, on instructions from investigating officer, has informed that out of total 19 witnesses, only 6 witnesses have Naresh Kumar 2017.01.17 15:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh been examined so far.

CRM-M-46383-2016 -2I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and with their able assistance gone through the material available on record. The petitioner was arrested on 18.06.2016. Since then, he is in judicial custody and no useful purpose would be served to further detain him in jail. The final conclusion of trial will take a long time. In view of above facts, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail on his furnishing adequate bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Judge/Duty Magistrate, Mohali.

Needless to mention that, nothing observed here-in-above, would reflect, on merits in the trial of the main case, in any manner.
