******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 439 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of interim bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 99 dated 20.07.2016 registered for offences punishable under Sections 21/29 of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 of Indian Penal Code (for short, "IPC") at Police Station Gharinda, District Amritsar. Heard.

Perusal of order dated 24.11.2017 passed by Judge, Special Court, Amritsar shows that marriage of nephew of petitioner is fixed for 03.12.2017. The petitioner has sought interim bail to attend his marriage. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that brother of petitioner, namely, Baldev Singh i.e. father of nephew-Yadwinder Singh whose marriage is fixed for 03.12.2017, is not enjoying good health and petitioner has to perform all marriage ceremonies of his nephew. Sarpanch of gram panchayat Bareke and other members of panchayat have also given certificate to this effect which has been placed on file as Annexure P-2. He will surrender before the Superintendent, Sub Jail, Patti on 05.12.2017 by 05.00 p.m.
