JITENDRA CHAUHAN, J. (Oral) The matter has been taken up through video-conferencing in the light of the pandemic COVID-19 situation and as per instructions. The petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India prays for issuance of a writ, in the nature of Mandamus directing respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to take action against respondent No.5, who is the Sarpanch, for his allegedly causing huge loss to the Gram Panchayat. Learned State counsel informs that respondent No. 2 has already marked enquiry to learned SDM, Jagadhri, who has not been impleaded as respondent. Therefore, with the consent of the parties, SDM, Jagadhri is hereby impleaded as respondent No. 6. Registry is directed to amend the memo of parties accordingly.

In this view of the matter, the intended purpose of filing the petition is fully achieved. The respondents are directed to conclude the enquiry expeditiously preferably within three months. In case some incriminating material or circumstances come up against respondent No. 5, the respondent No. 2-Deputy Commissioner, Yamuna Nagar is directed to take appropriate action as per law.
