(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although no FIR has been lodged against the petitioner, but the local police has been harassing the petitioner and calling her time and again at the instance of the private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner's son was married to Veerpal Kaur (respondent No.5), but on account of the quarrelsome nature of respondent No.5, she could not adjust in the family of the petitioner and now she and other relatives have been threatening and harassing the petitioner and she infact apprehends threat to her life and liberty.

- 2 - CRM-M-25284-2022 (O&M) This Court finds that the matter has basically arisen out of a matrimonial discord between the petitioner's son and his wife i.e. respondent No.5-Veerpal Kaur. Without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib, to ensure that the petitioner, who is a lady aged 60 years is not unnecessarily called to the police station time and again.

It is however, clarified that the aforesaid order is not to be taken as any kind of immunity upon the petitioner in case it is found that she has committed any wrong.

A copy of this order be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib (respondent No.3) so as to enable him to do the needful at the earliest.
