HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN PRESENT: Mr. Parvesh Sachdeva, Advocate for the petitioners. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) In the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.

Perusal of the file shows that petitioner No. 2-Sumandeep Kaur, is minor being 17 years of age.

Relying upon a judgment of Delhi High Court in Neetu Singh Vs. State, 1999(3) RCR (Criminal) 26, learned counsel for the petitioners urged that marriage of a minor girl is neither void nor voidable, therefore, necessary protection as prayed in the instant petition, may be provided to the petitioners.

Heard.

Without commenting on the legality and validity of marriage between the petitioners, respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, is hereby directed to look into the matter and if apprehends any danger to the life and liberty of the petitioners then only shall provide protection to them.

Disposed of.
