Petitioners in both the cases are qualified ayurvedic doctors and were selected and are currently serving as teaching faculty members with the Government Ayurvedic College, Patiala on contractual basis. The petitioners have been in service since June 2019 till date. The present petitions have been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus for issuance of directions to the respondent-authorities not to terminate the services of the petitioners and further for release of salaries of the petitioners with effect from the date of joining. CWP-11752-2020 (O&M) -2Mr. T.P.S.Chawla, DAG, Punjab has stated that that similar matter being CWP No.12933 of 2020 already stands disposed off by this Court vide order dated 01.09.2020. He further states that the salaries of the petitioners in both the cases, till December 2019, have already been released. He further prays that the present petitions may be disposed off in terms of the order dated 01.09.2020 passed in CWP No.12933 of 2020. Mr. Chawla, on instructions from Dr. Jasbir Singh, Nodal Officer, O/o Medical Education and Research further states that the services of the petitioners would not be terminated till such time the regular appointees do not join.
Mr. Gurcharan Dass, Advocate, appearing on behalf of the petitioners in both the cases, has no objection if the present petitions are disposed off in the same terms as order dated 01.09.2020 passed in CWP No.12933 of 2020.
In view of the above, the present petitions are disposed off in view of the statement made by Mr. Chawla that the services of the petitioners would not be terminated till such time the regular appointees join and further that the pending salaries, upto date, would be released within a period of 08 weeks from today positively. Disposed off in the aforementioned terms.
