Mr. Hakam Singh, Advocate for the complainant. *** MANOJ BAJAJ, J.(ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.6 dated 07.01.2018 under Sections 406, 420 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station City Faridkot. The petitioner apprehended his arrest at the hands of Police.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the alleged amount was paid by the complainant on different occasions to Sandeep Kumar Verma with whom he had contacted to send his daughter abroad. However, some of the amount was paid to Manav Khurana, whose name was disclosed by Sandeep Kumar Verma to the complainant. He further contends that the amount was not received by the petitioner who happens to be father-in-law of Manav Khurana and his daughter is having matrimonial dispute with him.

Considering the above, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to join the investigation and would come present as and when called for and in the event of his arrest, he shall be admitted to interim bail on his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer.
