This petition has been filed under Section 407 read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for transfer of criminal complaint No.3280/2015 dated 23.12.2015 (Annexure-P.1) titled as "Sandeep Ohri Vs. Ranjit Kaur Chhoker and others" from the Court of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Jalandhar to any other competent Court in the State of Haryana. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

At the time of arguments, nothing has been pointed by the learned counsel for the petitioner as to why the case should be transferred from Jalandhar to the State of Haryana. In the petition, it has been written that respondent No.7 i.e. M/s Midland Developers, Jalandhar, is a firm Harpal Singh Parmar 2017.12.19 16:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-45901 of 2017 [2] owned by the family of Shri Amarjit Singh Samra, Ex-Minister of Punjab, who belongs to the present ruling party. The Samra family has a great influence in the society. The mere fact that the petitioner alleges that one of the family members of the firm remained Ex-Minister is no ground to show that he can influence the Court in any way. The apprehension of the petitioner is misfounded. No other point has been argued by the learned counsel for the petitioner. It is settled law that criminal proceedings should not be transferred in a routine manner.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and from the above discussion, I find that there is no ground for transfer of the case and the petition is dismissed.
