Present petition has been filed directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, which is endangered at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8, as the petitioners are living together in live-in relationship against the wishes of private respondents. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that both the petitioners are already married. Petitioner No.1 had performed marriage with a girl namely Sarmin and have two children from the said wedlock. Due to matrimonial dispute, his wife residing with her parents. Petitioner No.2 had performed marriage with one Bilal but due to matrimonial dispute, her husband is residing with other girl in live-in-relationship. Petitioner No.2 has no child from the said wedlock. She further submits that both the petitioners are major and living in live-in-relationship and have sought protection to their life and liberty. They apprehend danger from the private respondents. The petitioners have submitted a representation dated 06.04.2026 (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.2.

Without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of the petition with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Superintendent of Police, Mewat to decide the representation dated 06.04.2026 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioners and grant them protection, if any threat to their life and liberty is perceived. It is clarified that this order shall not be taken to grant immunity to the petitioners from legal action for violation of law, if any, committed by them. This order would not be understood having expressed any opinion whatsoever by this Court on the validity of their live-in relationship. 6.
Disposed of.
