The petitioner, through the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is seeking direction to the trial court to expeditiously dispose of trial arising out of FIR No. 89 dated 25.09.2017, under Sections 498-A and 406 IPC, registered at Women Police Station, Ludhiana.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that FIR was registered on 25.09.2017 and challan was presented on 20.02.2018. The respondent just to prolong the trial moved an application under Section 319 Cr.P.C. seeking summoning of family members of the petitioner. The application came to be rejected vide order dated 23.08.2022. The petitioner moved another application under Section 319 Cr.P.C. on 13.04.2023. The complainants are not coming forward for examination, resultantly, trial is pending and PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.05.15 17:33 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

This Court is not oblivious of the fact that trial courts are over burdened, thus, it would not be just and fair to direct trial court to expedite the trial in a time bound manner, however, keeping in view the fact that FIR was registered in the year 2017 and challan stands presented, the trial court is requested to expedite the trial. 4.

Disposed of.
