(ORAL) The petitioner has preferred this writ petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to approve the joint time table on Rampura to Himmatpura via Bhai Rupa, Salabatpura route. The petitioner is holder of a valid stage carriage permit on Rampura to Himmatpura via Bhai Rupa, Salabatpura route. The aforesaid permit is valid up to 08.06.2027. Grievance of the petitioner is that in the absence of approval of regular joint time table, the bus of the petitioner is not allowed to be plied. The petitioner cannot operate its fleet on the aforesaid route despite the fact that it has deposited the requisite fee prescribed by the Government at the rate of POONAM BHATT 2023.05.11 17:15 I attest the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

2023:PHHC:068145 CWP No.10217 of 2023 -2Rs.2,750/- per kilometer and has also invested huge amounts towards purchase of bus for operation of the permit. Precisely for the grievance in question, the petitioner has also served a legal notice dated 20.02.2023 upon the respondent.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case its legal notice dated 20.02.2023 is ordered to be decided in accordance with law in a time bound manner.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sanjeev Soni, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and submits that the legal notice of the petitioner dated 20.02.2023 shall be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with law preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Disposed of.
