The present first petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.0177 dated 05.10.2022, registered under Sections 323, 341, 379-B and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, at Police Station Passayana, District Patiala.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the respondent-State, on instructions from ASI Paramjit Singh, that despite the order of protection having been granted in favour of the petitioner and despite the fact that he was permitted to take with him his counsel to the police station, when he goes to join the investigation, the petitioner has not joined the investigation so far. In view of the above, this Court does not find it appropriate to continue with the interim protection granted to the petitioner or to continue with the present petition any more.
