Learned State counsel submits that on the complaint of the petitioner a DDR was registered under Section 107/150 Cr.P.C. against the private respondents and Calendra has been presented before the Court concerned.

The petitioner is seeking protection of his life and liberty from the hands of respondents No. 5 to 8, who are his sons. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with direction to Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar to verify the allegations levelled by the petitioner in his representation (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate action in accordance with law. It is, however, made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be interpreted as giving any type of the protection to the petitioner in any criminal, civil or other proceedings instituted or pending against him.
