Both the petitioners are parents-in-law of deceased Simarjit Kaur, who died of electrocution within four days of her marriage. During investigation, it was found that Jasvinder Singh,husband of the deceased being drunk and on an altercation had pushed the deceased who accidentally touched a naked live high voltage electric wire hanging from the roof on to the wall causing her death. CRM-M 4729/2016 investigations, both the petitioners were found to be innocent and challan was filed against the husband only.
It was submitted that petitioners are ready and willing to face trial.
Vide order dated 10.2.2016 notice of motion was issued and it was directed that in the event of petitioners surrendering before the trial court within 10 days,they shall be released on interim bail by the trial court to its satisfaction.
At the time of hearing,it is submitted that pursuant to the order dated 10.2.2016 petitioners surrendered before the trial court on 17.2.2016 and were released on interim bail.
The said fact is not disputed by the learned State counsel. In this view of the matter, interim bail granted by trial court on 17.2.2016 pursuant to the order dated 10.2.2016 passed by this Court is confirmed.
Disposed of.
