(the aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in Virtual Court) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner had lodged FIR No.122 dated 7.8.2019 at Police Station Sadar Faridkot under Sections 302 and 149 of Indian Penal Code pertaining to death of his son Mandar Singh but despite a period of one year having elapsed, no action has been taken against the accused. At this stage, Mr. Ajay Pal Singh Gill, DAG, Punjab, learned State counsel, upon whom an advance copy of the petition had already been served, has informed that the matter has infact been inquired into and a cancellation report has been prepared which is likely to be filed shortly. In view of the aforestated position, this Court does not deem it appropriate to issue any direction as regards transfer of investigation at this Stage. The petition, as such, is dismissed.
