ANIL KSHETARPAL, J(Oral) The petitioner while praying for the issuance of a writ of certiorari assails the correctness of his transfer order from Malot To Sudhar, District Ludhiana.

On 13.05.2019, the parties were directed to maintain the status quo which has continued to operate since then. On instructions from Sh. Gurpreet Singh, Law Officer, Department of Rural Development, Punjab, the learned counsel representing the State of Punjab submits that the petitioner has already worked at Malot for more than last 5 years, hence, as per the transfer policy if the petitioner submits his options within a period of next one week, the competent authority shall consider petitioner's request sympathetically. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of while hoping that the competent authority will take a pragmatic view of the matter particularly keeping in view the petitioner's physical condition. All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
