(ORAL) Applicant seeks regular bail in FIR No. 279 dated 14.12.2014 under Sections 452/326/324/323/148/149 IPC registered at Police Station Gharinda, Amritsar (Rural), District Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that two injuries have been attributed to the petitioner and both the injuries have been found to be simple and the seat of both the injuries was not on any vital parts of the body. Petitioner is in custody for the last more than one and a half months. He further submits that even the report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. has not been submitted so far and the investigation as well as trial would take pretty long time. Criminal Misc. No. M-5980 of 2015 On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that petitioner was carrying sharp edged weapon and gave repeated blows on the person of the injured. Since the allegations were direct and serious, petitioner is not entitled for bail. She prays for dismissal of the petition.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and going through the record of the case, this Court is of the considered opinion that the petitioner is entitled for bail pending trial. It is so said, because both the injuries attributed to the petitioner have been found simple in nature. Seat of both the injuries was also not on any of the vital parts of the body. It also goes without saying that since the report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. has not been filed so far, trial will take a long time.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail pending trial to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Amristar.
