(ORAL) In compliance of order dated 03.08.2021 passed by this Court, result of the petitioner has been brought in sealed cover, which has been opened and taken on record as Mark 'A'. The same reveals that petitioner has obtained 144 marks in written examination and 20 marks in the interview with a grand total of 164 marks.

Learned State counsel submits that the last selected candidate in the category in which petitioner had applied has scored 166 marks in aggregate.

Result of the petitioner, who has concededly scored less than 166 marks, is not under challenge in the instant petition. It seems that petitioner was under the wrong impression at the time of filing the instant petition that based on his performance, he would qualify. Being not so, no grounds are made out to interfere. Dismissed. Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that a candidate in the waiting list, who had secured 166 marks has been VANDANA 2021.12.15 22:02 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

accommodated is completely out of place, inasmuch as, the petitioner approached this Court after two years of the declaration of the result. The waiting list was valid for a period of one year and, therefore, to that extent, petition is dismissed on delay and laches.
