v.

State of Haryana

Coram:

Hon'ble Mr. Justice Inderjit Singh .....

Present:

Mr. Vinay Saini, Advocate for the petitioner. .....

Inderjit Singh, J.

The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.547 dated 23.12.2016 registered for the offences under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Ambala City, District Ambala.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that as per prosecution version a cheque of `6 crores with the forged signatures has been presented by Harbhajan Singh in Syndicate Bank, Ambala City Branch. During investigation, it was found that the cheque has been handed over by the present petitioner along with one co-accused, who had entered into agreement to sell with Harbhajan Singh for `12 crores on behalf of complainant-Company. The cheque was Harpal Singh Parmar 2017.12.06 16:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-46143 of 2017 [2] bearing forged signatures of Ajit Shanbhag of the complainant Company. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, gravity and nature of the offences, I find that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation. Hence, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
