RITU BAHRI, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, prayer has been for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents not to use the college premises for purpose of elections and setting up of strong room/counting centre which effect the studies of the students and the education process of the college.

Learned counsel for the State has placed on record the current status report.

On instructions from Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Pathankot, learned counsel for the State has informed the Court that the process of Vidhan Sabha elections has been completed RISHU KATARIA 2022.05.27 13:30 I agree to specified portions of this document

CWP-13184-2021 (O&M) -2and the premises of the petitioner-college has been vacated on 10.03.2022. She further states that as per current status report, repair work which was caused during the elections process has also been completed and an estimate of Rs.9,35,720/- has been received from the PWD Department, Pathankot, for the aforesaid repair work. After getting the repair work done, the aforesaid amount has been paid to PWD Department, by the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Pathankot.

Since, the Vidhan Sabha election process is over, this petition is being disposed of and the issue with regard to setting up of a strong room/counting centre for the purpose of election is left open for the future.
