By way of this petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.81 dated 22.08.2023 for the offence punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471,120-B IPC registered at Police Station Jodhewal, District Ludhiana and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 16.04.2024 (Annexure P-2). 2.
Vide order dated 09.05.2024 of this Court, the parties were directed to appear before the learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate on 29.05.2024 for getting their statements recorded regarding the compromise arrived at between them and the Court concerned was further directed to send the report qua the compromise so arrived at between them.

In pursuance thereof, report has since been received from learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ludhiana, wherein the factum of the compromise arrived at between the parties stands verified and confirmed. As per the report, compromise has indeed been effected between the parties and the same is without any pressure or coercion and out of their free will, and the complainant and the Sonia Puri 2025.04.10 12:54 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRM-M-23264-2024 (O&M) -2- injured have also made statement to the effect that they would have no objection if the FIR qua the accused-petitioners is quashed. 4.
The Trial Court has annexed a copy of the statements of the parties so recorded, alongwith its report.

Learned State counsel also submits that there is no accused person other than the petitioners and respondent No.2 is the only aggrieved person in the FIR in question.

In view of the report of the learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ludhiana and the principles laid down by Hon'ble the Apex Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and others (2012) 10 SCC 303, and also by the Full Bench of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another, 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052, the instant petition is allowed and FIR No.81 dated 22.08.2023 for the offence punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Jodhewal, District Ludhiana and all consequential proceedings arising out of it, are quashed qua the petitioners. 7.
