The contents of the petition along with Annexures thereof, have been perused. Both the petitioners are stated to be major. The present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar to verify the threat perception and contents of representation dated 10.08.2020 (Annexure P-5), and if necessary, requisite steps be taken, in accordance with law for grant of protection of life and liberty to them. It is clarified that this order shall neither be treated as a stamp of this Court qua marriage of the petitioners nor any reflection on the merits of the contentions raised by them in the present petition.

Present petition stands disposed of.
