Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.152 dated 29.04.2019 under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station City Barnala. Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel appeared and contested the petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. The FIR in the present case was registered on the basis of the application given by Gurjant Singh, who stated that present petitioner has committed fraud of `8,88,000/- on the pretext of issuing certificate after clearing IELTS examination. CRM No.M-21901 of 2019 -2send his daughter abroad for studies, therefore, he had talked with partner of IELTS Knock Out Centre, Shivdeep Singh, Lecturer, who assured him that he will get achieved his daughter at least 7 Bands. As per the allegations, a false certificate was issued and fraud was committed. Keeping in view the facts and circumstance of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence, and in view of the serious allegations against the petitioner, I find that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation and no ground is made out for granting benefit of anticipatory bail to him.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
