Mr.Gurdarshan Singh Sidhu, AAG, Punjab ***** SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA, J (ORAL) This is a petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for seeking regular bail in FIR No. 20 dated 11.03.2023 registered under Section 452, 307, 324, 323, 354, 336, 342, 506, 148, 149 IPC and Section 25 of Arms Act, registered at Police Station Sadar Batala, District Gurdaspur, Punjab. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the complainant have already entered into a compromise and the present petition has been filed seeking quashing of proceedings. Accordingly, this Court directed the area Magistrate concerned to record the statement relating to the compromise.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner have been arrested in a case where there was scuffle between the neighbors and where injuries were caused to both the parties. CRM-23966 OF 2023 -22023:PHHC:070598 Keeping in view all the aspects and taking into consideration that there is no other criminal case is pending against the petitioner, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner subject to furnishing of bail bond with a surety of Rs.20,000/- of the like amount.
Accordingly, the petition stands allowed.
