HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution seeking direction to respondent Nos.2 & 3 to provide protection to the lives and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 to 7.

It has been averred that petitioner No.1 is more than 38 years old with her date of birth being 01.01.1983 while petitioner No.2 is aged about 33 years with his date of birth being 01.01.1988. Copies of Aadhar Card of the petitioners are annexed as Annexure P.1 & Annexure P.2 respectively.

It is stated that petitioner No.1 was earlier married to one Pyara Ram of Village Kichana, District Kaithal but the marriage stands dissolved through panchayat as per the customs. The petitioners have solemnized marriage on 12.07.2021 at Hanuman Temple situated at Village Gilana, Tehsikl & District Kaithal. Parents and other relatives of petitioner No.1 are unhappy with this relationship, therefore, the petitioners apprehend danger to their lives at the hands of private respondents. In this regard, the petitioners have submitted representation dated 13.07.2021 (Annexure P-3) MANOJ KUMAR 2021.07.27 10:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP No.6666 of 2021 #2# to respondent No.2 seeking protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of the private respondents.

After hearing counsel for the petitioners and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the legal status of the relationship of petitioner No.1, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to look into the said representation with regard to safeguarding life and liberty of the petitioners and take such action as may be necessary, in accordance with law.
