NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J (Oral) Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482, Cr.P.C., is for the issuance of directions to respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to protect lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 6. The petitioners contend that they being major, have solemnized their marriage in accordance with law. They further submit that respondent Nos. 4 to 6 are not accepting their marriage and adamant to separate them from each other by resorting to illegal means. CRM-M-5020-2016 that in view of the imminent danger to their lives and liberty, petitioner No. 1 has already moved a representation (Annexure P-5) before respondent No. 2/Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh.
Keeping in view the seriousness of the matter but without going into the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2/ Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh, to take action as warranted by law on the representation moved by petitioner No. 1 and in the meantime to issue necessary orders to ensure that no harm is caused to the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 6.
