Instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 482 Cr.P.C.), seeking quashing of FIR No. 100 dated 07.06.2025, under Sections 118(2), 115(2), 3(5) of BNS (Sections 326, 323, 34 IPC), registered at Police Station Ghuman, Batala, District Batala and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of the compromise dated 27.03.2026 (Annexure P-2), effected between the parties.

As per the report dated 05.05.2026 received from the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Batala, in compliance with the order dated 20.04.2026 passed by this Court, none of the parties appeared for recording of their statements with regard to the compromise. Even today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners or respondent No. 2. It appears that the parties are no longer interested in pursuing the present petition. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
