*** This petition for regular bail has been filed by petitioner Paramjit Kaur @ Pammi, an accused in F.I.R. No. 102 dated 1.6.2015 under Section 22 of the NDPS Act, 1985 registered with Police Station Laddowal, Ludhiana on the allegations that on 1.6.2015, in the area of village Kadia, she was found in possession of 115 grams of intoxicant powder. She was formally arrested in this case and thereafter challned. Presently she is facing trial in the Court of Judge Special Court, Ludhiana. She had moved an application for grant of regular bail in that Court which was dismissed vide order dated 27.7.2017, as such she has approached this Court craving for grant of similar relief, which is being opposed by the State counsel.

I have learned counsel for the petitioner and learned State counsel besides going through the record.

CRM-M No. 4726 of 2018 Admittedly, the recovery involved amounts to commercial quantity attracting the provisions of Section 37 of the NDPS Act. Therefore, no ground is made out for grant of regular bail to the petitioner. The petition is dismissed accordingly. However, while parting with the discussion, the trial Court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously by giving short adjournments preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order in the Court.
