***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) This is a petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a case registered against the petitioners vide FIR No.148 dated 29.08.2017 under Sections 148, 149, 188, 427, 452, 436 and 511 IPC at Police Station Jakhal, District Fatehabad.
Learned counsel contends that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. He is incarcerated since 30.08.2017.
Learned State counsel has opposed the prayer for bail. Heard.
Keeping in view the fact that the name of the petitioner is not mentioned in the FIR, period of his incarceration and the fact that the trial has commenced but the same may take long time to conclude, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner during pendency of the trial. I deem it appropriate to grant regular bail to the petitioner.
