HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the petitioner has alleged that he apprehends threat to his life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.5 and 6, who owe him a huge some of money, for which the petitioner has initiated proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that on 25.07.2020, some persons entered the house of the petitioners and threatened him to withdraw the proceedings initated by him under the Negotiable Instruments Act and in support of the said averment, the petitioner has also attached the photographs of persons entering in the house as Annexure P-4. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that immediately on the same day, a complaint was made to the official respondents vide Annexure P-5 apprehending threat to his life and liberty but no action has been taken on the said representation dated 25.07.2020 (Annexure P-5). CRWP-5927-2020 for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner will be satisfied in case, a time bound direction is issued to respondent No. 3 to look into his grievance as raised in the representation dated 25.07.2020 (Annexure P-5) and pass an appropriate speaking order.

Mr. Munish Sharma, Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that appropriate order on the representation dated 25.07.2020 (Annexure P-5) will be passed and in case any action is warranted, the same will also be taken by the authorities.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case and on the claim being made by the petitioner in the present petition or being made in the representation dated 25.07.2020 (Annexure P-5), the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2020 (Annexure P-5) in accordance with law within a period of one month from today by passing an appropriate speaking order.
