Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to official respondents No.2 & 3, to provide protection of lives and liberty of the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of private respondents No.4 & 5.

It is noticed by the Court that permanent address of petitioner No.2 as mentioned in the petition is of Nainital, Uttarakhand.

Learned State counsel, on instruction from SI Mehar Singh, Police Station Manimajra, Chandigarh, informs the Court that according to the verification of the address done by the Police, petitioners are not found to be residing there. Statement of landlord Gurdeep Singh has also been recorded in this regard.
