(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking protection of their life and liberty on the premise that petitioner No.1 has performed marriage with petitioner No.2 against the wishes of her parents and other family members and the petitioners are apprehending threat to their life and liberty at their instance. Notice of motion.
Mr. Naveen Sheoran, DAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent - State while Mr. H.S. Saini, Advocate has appeared on behalf of respondent No.4.
Respondent No.4 - Ramesh Kumar, father of petitioner No.1 appeared in the Court and the matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and the Mediator has recorded the statements of the parties. CRM No.M-46443 of 2017 No.1 - Kiran Bala, she has stated that she wants to stay with petitioner No.2 - Ramesh Kumar son of Hira Lal as she has performed marriage with him. On the other hand, petitioner No.2 - Ramesh Kumar has also stated that he is ready to perform his matrimonial duties towards his wife i.e. petitioner No.1 - Kiran Bala.
On the other hand, respondent No.4 has stated that he has no objection on the marriage of petitioners No.1 and 2 but being a father of petitioner No.1, he has shown his concern about the well being and security of his daughter i.e. petitioner No.1 - Kiran Bala. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that a representation dated 04.12.2017 was made to the Superintendent of Police, Fatehabad (Annexure P4) seeking necessary protection but no action has been taken so far in the matter.

In view of the fact that petitioner No.2 has undertaken that he will perform his matrimonial duties towards his wife - Kiran Bala and without examining the question of validity or otherwise of marriage of the petitioners, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Fatehabad to look into grievance of the petitioners expressed in the representation (Annexure P4) and take appropriate action, if any, warranted in the circumstances.
